"Listen with full concentration and focus when the Quran is recited before you, so that you be dealt with mercifully". Whenever we advance this message to someone, majority people say that we conveniently could read this Surah and therefore why was it necessary for us to listen its recitation ? I always respond to such people by telling them that this manner of listening is ascribed to a blessed person and a friend of Allah SWT and is regarded as huge blessing. I also tell them that I played this recitation to many people who suffered from different diseases and by the blessings of this pious book of Allah SWT, they were granted riddance from their deadly diseases; hence, they must listen to this recitation, as well. Peace and blessings be upon Qalandar Pak (RA).
Who says that there is no cure to a physical disease, worldly complications and other affliction, misfortune or evilness? Please remember! The Holy Quran is a complete remedy and source of all blessings. Listen to the recitation of Surah Al-Rehman and advance this solemn and blessed message to the suffering humanity. The message of listening to recitation of Surah Al-Rehman in this particular manner carries in itself a certain uniqueness. Just ponder on the way obligatory congregational prayers are performed in mosque, everyone listens to the recitation done by the Imam (person who leads prayers in mosque) and it is done likewise during `Taraweh and Shabeena' prayers (special prayers offered during holy month of Ramadan). A certain level of focus and effect is actually created by listening to the recitation. Eyes serve the purpose of one's vision, whereas ears enable a person to hear; Allah SWT commands,
